Royal wedding in this year doesn't seem to take place only in the UK. In this country, an A-list wedding/marriage will also be held by Edhie Baskoro Yudhoyono aka Ibas and Siti Ruby Aliya Hatta Rajasa.
Tuesday, April 26th 2011, Edhie Baskoro Yudhoyono, the youngest son of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, got officially engaged to Aliya Rajasa, the daughter of Hatta Rajasa, the coordinating minister of economic affairs.
News about the engagement was confirmed by the Presidential Palace.
“This is a family affair. Not that it cannot be covered by the press, but this is not for publication,” Presidential Spokesman Julian Aldrin Pasha told news portal detik.com.
The engagement ceremony for Ibas (Edhie Baskoro's nickname) and Aliya was held at Hatta Rajasa's private residence on Jalan Fatmawati, South Jakarta. It was attended only by direct family members.
“Only the closest family members [were there]. This is not politics, this is a coalition of love,” said Bima Arya, an official from Hatta's National Mandate Party.
Hatta has not said much to the media about the engagement. When asked about his daughter's relationship with the president's son on Monday, he only smiled and said, “If God is willing, just pray for us.”
Hmm... So, will this be the next royal wedding? I mean, Indonesian Royal Wedding?
Let's wait and see...
